Using Groundcheck

Learn how Groundcheck finds a property, runs data checks, and presents the results.

Generate a report

Enter a property address or select a point on the map.
Sign in or create a verified account.
Use your free report or purchase a report credit.
Wait while Groundcheck looks up the parcel and checks available data layers.
Review the risk overview, property details, findings, and source links.

Parcel coverage

Parcel services vary by state. When Groundcheck supports the selected state and finds a parcel, it uses the returned boundary for parcel-scale checks.

If no supported parcel boundary is available, Groundcheck can still run compatible national checks around the selected address point. The report labels unavailable parcel details instead of treating them as confirmed facts.

Understand findings

High

The available data shows a condition that deserves closer review.

Moderate

The available data shows a condition worth investigating.

Low

The screened source did not show a major concern under that layer's rules.

Unknown

The lookup could not provide a reliable result.

A low result does not prove that no constraint exists. Each finding reflects only the named dataset, method, coverage, and update date.

Check the sources

Each available finding names its source and links to the publishing agency. Use those links to confirm coverage, definitions, update dates, and limitations before you make a decision.

Review current data layers

Report status and failures

Queued or processing: Groundcheck is still collecting and analyzing data.
Complete: The report finished. Individual findings can still show unknown or unavailable results.
Failed: Groundcheck could not finish the report. If a credit was reserved, the app returns it automatically.
